Good day and welcome to the start of start of a new school year, which already looks to be packed full of activities: both in and out of class (Fall sports are already underway!). On Wednesday, September 4 we officially start school with a 开学第一天 at 8:20, where we get to reconnect, meet old and new friends, and then we’ll be off to our classes. We are very excited for Fall and this a new year to team up with all of you as we walk out our mission of 圣经, 充满活力、 and 关系 Christian education!
Our school and retreat theme this year is 扎根, based on Colossians 2:7, “Let your roots grow down into Him, and let your lives be built on Him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.” Colossians 2 is a meaningful passage of scripture, and I look forward to exploring it with all our students and staff this year. We will officially kick-off this theme at our Fall retreat, which starts on Wednesday, September 11 at the school and continues Thursday the 12th when we head out to Silver Lake for a day full of fun, sun, and fellowship. We will have a great time of play, worship, and the Word!
